Farnborough to Cambridge

Cambridge from Farnborough is two distinct destinations sharing a postcode. The historic college centre on the west side of the Cam — King’s, Trinity, St John’s, Christ’s, Queens’ — is where academic visitors and graduation guests need to be, and where the city is at its most pedestrian-hostile to cars. The Cambridge Biomedical Campus on the southern edge of the city, anchored by Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the AstraZeneca Global R&D Centre, is where commercial visitors and pharma professionals are heading, and operates as a gated employment park with visitor protocols.

The routing is M3 to the M25 anticlockwise, joining the M11 at Junction 27 in Essex, then either M11 J13 for the city centre via Madingley Road or M11 J11 for the Biomedical Campus via Trumpington Road. Total wheels-turning time is around 1h 50m — your Client Coordinator builds buffer if your booking falls in M25 morning rush or in graduation week when the city centre traffic doubles.

For the college centre we drop at the Senate House Passage, Trinity Street, or the porter’s lodge of your specific college on request. Cambridge has the same Low Traffic Neighbourhood and bus-gate complications as Oxford — your driver knows which streets are accessible and where to wait without triggering a PCN.

For the Biomedical Campus we use the visitor entrance off Robinson Way, where badge collection at the security gate is the standard protocol for AstraZeneca and the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.
