Long-distance chauffeur·GU14 → Newmarket Racecourses
Farnborough to Newmarket Racecourses
Door-to-paddock chauffeur from Farnborough (GU14) to Newmarket Racecourse — 110 miles up the M3, M25 anticlockwise to J27, M11 to J37 and A14 to the Newmarket bypass, arriving at the Rowley Mile or July Course in around 2h 15m. Mercedes V-Class is the recommended cabin for hospitality groups; E-Class from £319 covers solo Tattersalls bidders and trade visitors.
Why this route, why this chauffeur
Newmarket is two racecourses, not one — the Rowley Mile (Guineas Festival, July Festival, autumn racing) and the July Course (summer evening cards). Your Client Coordinator confirms which course your meeting runs on the day before.
Tattersalls bloodstock sales draw international bidders four times a year — December Sales, January Horses-in-Training, October Yearling Sales and Craven Sales. We do the sales-week return transfers as a packaged booking for bidders staying in Cambridge or Newmarket town.
A14 corridor from M11 J37 is the only practical inbound — your driver knows the Rowley Mile entrance via the Newmarket bypass, the July Course via Bury Road, and the Jockey Club Rooms approach for owners' badge-holders.

The run, in detail
Newmarket is the headquarters of British flat racing — 2,500 racehorses in training across the town, the Jockey Club Rooms on the High Street, Tattersalls running four major bloodstock sales a year, and two racecourses (the Rowley Mile and the July Course) operating separate meetings across the season. The Guineas Festival in early May, the July Festival in mid-July and the Tattersalls sales weeks are the demand peaks; the weekly Saturday card runs from April through October.
The routing is M3 to M25 anticlockwise, M11 north from Junction 27, A14 east from M11 J14, then the Newmarket bypass to the racecourse entrances. About 110 miles, 2h 15m wheels-turning on a normal day, 2h 45m on a Festival Saturday. The A14 from Junction 37 is well-organised for race traffic and rarely creates the marshal-directed queueing of Cheltenham or Aintree.
Gate allocation depends on which course and which enclosure. Rowley Mile has the Champions Stand, Premier Enclosure and Grandstand entrances. July Course has its own separate access point on the southern side of the town. Tattersalls sales rounds use a different approach via Park Paddocks. The Jockey Club Rooms on the High Street are for owners and members with their own forecourt. Your Client Coordinator confirms the exact destination the day before.
Tattersalls sales weeks are the year-round professional booking. December Sales (yearlings), January Horses-in-Training, the Craven Sales in April and the October Yearling Sales each draw international bidders — owners flying into Cambridge or Stansted, trainers travelling from across Europe, vets and bloodstock agents working the sales ring. We package the multi-day attendance with hotel-to-sales-ring daily transfers.
When you arrive in Newmarket Racecourses
Quietly answered
How much is a fixed-price chauffeur from Farnborough GU14 to Newmarket Racecourse?
Fares are fixed in writing before pickup with no meter and no surge. E-Class from £319 for solo trade visitors and Tattersalls bidders; V-Class from £399 is the recommended cabin for hospitality groups; Ford Tourneo from £375 for groups of six; S-Class from £485 for board-level transfers.
Are we going to the Rowley Mile or the July Course?
Two different racecourses with different entrances. Rowley Mile (Guineas Festival, autumn racing) is on the northern side of Newmarket via the bypass. July Course (summer evening cards and the July Festival) is on the southern side via Bury Road. Your Client Coordinator confirms which course your meeting runs on the day before.
Do you do the Tattersalls sales-week transfer package?
Yes — Tattersalls runs four major sales a year (December, January, Craven April, October Yearlings) and we package the multi-day attendance with hotel-to-sales-ring daily transfers. International bidders staying in Cambridge or Newmarket town, daily Park Paddocks runs, return to Farnborough at the end of the week.
Do you carry owners to the Jockey Club Rooms on race days?
Yes — the Jockey Club Rooms on Newmarket High Street are for owners and members with a dedicated forecourt. We drop at the Rooms before the race meeting, then transfer to the Rowley Mile or July Course entrance for the racing, and return collection from either at the end of the day.
Who is the chauffeur and what licence covers the journey?
All Farnborough to Newmarket Racecourse journeys are dispatched under a single Rushmoor Borough Council operator licence held by Dinez Carnay (25/00699/TXOPR-1/5). Where demand requires it, we extend capacity through approved third-party operators — fully vetted, licensed and insured — operating to the same service standard.
